Unreadable Cd By Windows

So I can't read a CD in Windows, and it reads fantastic in SuSE Linux 8.0.

@ contra, if I can't get this running in Windows, I ordered SuSE 8.0 from ebay, Ill install it, and, is there any tools i can use to make an ISO and burn a CD?

Try IsoBuster on windows, it can read your CD by directly accessing to the device.

And you can download SuSe, it's free isn't it ? If not, dl another distro (slackware is da best in linux) or a BSD :)

What kind of CD are you trying to read.. if it's a Mac UFS formatted CD, Winblows will not be able to read it.

My CD burner, Lite-On 52x24x52, and Nero software can rip an exact copy of a Mac cd as a bit for bit copy, but I cannot read the filesystem.

Most flavors of Linux can read them without issue.

Just make sure you have the UFS filesystem drivers loaded.

SuSE is free, but you have to do a FTP install, I can't really do that... So it was only less than $15.00. So....

Suse 8.0 is really old, Id get a newer distro.
