Howdy all
I had an recently epifony that i might just be able to afford a macbook pro with my tax return i had coming up. but unfortunately i was unable afford one out right although one thing did catch my eye under the main price there where the words
"or for as low as $$" such and such a price depending on the product selected.
Unfortunately there was so link following up on this statement so im looking for someone who understands what Apple means by this statement and how it works.

I think your talking about the monthly payment option. If thats the case, you would pay whatever it says per month untill the computer is payed off, and there might be some added intrest as well but I'm not sure.
You're talking about the monthly payments. That's more designed for a business, because it's cheaper for the business to rent a lot of computers, then give them back to Apple after a year and get the latest and greatest versions.

I think nicholasheer has put it into context that best makes sense it seem to fit the theme. I was hoping that the monthly payment thing would have been much like much like renting something from a set monthly fee and at the end of your contract you own the product which is what alot of general electrical merchants do here in aus with large high priced items (i.e. a fridge).

i did come across that visa card and something about rewards points but it said nothing bout the monthy renting thing. Also i last qestion you said it wasn't available online would it be available inside a apple store?

yeah, the same thing happened to me, I saw the price and I say cool I have the money but that's just the system costs, with the software and all that stuff is really expensive $$$
Leasing is only available to massive business and educational customers who contact a corporate representative.
You CANNOT "rent" an Apple Computer.
If you want to finance it, apply for their monthly payments, which is basically financing it through Juniper Bank. Read the terms of service.

does anyone actully read the 'terms of service' I understand the legal obligations for them, but how many people have actully sat down and taken the 20minutes to read it...
It's critical if you're financing something that costs half or a third of a decent car. Seriously, why **** around when it comes to a three-thousand dollar purchase that dictates your life over the next 3 years or less? More if you screw up.
When you put it that way; I can see why you (and future me) will read it. I've never made a purches over 400$ via the internet before, I gusse its good to know what your getting in to;
I also want to buy a MacBook like that, I want the black model, the Apple website says that you need a juniper card, but eBay is always an option, or you could go to any other store that sells macbooks and pay them like you said, or could get it used under 1000 dollars, you can get one for like 799 dollars, but new is always the best.
