iTunes playback not continuous for playlists

hi. i was wandering the internet looking for awnsers and i figured to sign up for a forum to see if any one accualy knew what was going on here.

my itunes playlists only play one song then stop. the main library will continue to play songs but the playlists will only play one song. no matter how i have the shuffle or the repeat configured...any thoughts from any one?

You are keeping the view in the Playlist and not browsing the rest of the library, right? If you have a song playing from one playlist, and you are looking into another one, it will not play a next song.

That's my theory.

i am still in that particular play list i never touch anything i hit play on one of the songs in a play list and it plays threw, when it ends thats it, it dosent play anything else.

are you sure that all the songs are checked?

Play a song as you've described, and then press Ctrl. + L. What happens? Note closely the "Source" of the playing song if this changes after you press that keystroke--i.e. if the highlighted label changes from the playlist to the main library.

Also, have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes?
