ehk, faster. I haden't touched photoshop before September'07, and by Novemeber I was still going nowhere. I stick to it, it was worth every penny. It ends up being 10$/hour (11hours of video tutorials)
I'm liking the wallpaper, (maybe I'm out of the loop here) but does anyone actually make their own vector artwork and brushes? It's so easy to combine other artists' pre-defined elements using their brushes, etc to make a good-looking wallpaper or design. Sometimes, I just feel it's ripping them off (although far less time consuming than creating your own) unless you give them credit.
On dA, in the vector section everythings pretty much the same, this wall and the many other vector walls, are very... very far from original work. I would give credit for the brushes but most of the abr files dont come with a name, and i usualy discard all the 'about' junk they come with.

artist release the brushes with full entent of everyone using them, its not ripping.. how could it be. Everyone adds their own personal flar to it, its just to bad they all look alike.
I just recently went and browsed the DA brush section to see what's up. On about 99% of the brushes posted, the artist asks you to link to them or credit them. If they don't provide the info in the pack to credit them, that's your fault, but most of them do provide some form of readme with rules of use. Certain artists mention that if you're not using it commercially, they don't care if you credit, but they do appreciate it.
Honestly, most vector isn't too hard to do once you're familiar with Photoshop and Illustrator, so you shouldn't really need many brushes. A few brushes, like trees and birds can be time consuming to make, but if you're only using a few brushes, you only have to credit one or two people.
PS - I still like your wallpaper.
