Modify column width in forumdisplay

What template files do I have to modify to make the width of columns in FORUMDISPLAY bigger? At the moment, they are really small and sometimes a member's name is cut in 3 lines. I am talking about the width of the "Author" and "Last reply" columns, here for example.

I tried to modify it myself but it always got screwed: either the header of the column didn't match the content or it was just a complete mess
