Another Pointless Deadzombie Post

Hey does anyone know about my problem?

K, it's like, I did track for a while a few years ago and I had to quit due to chronic chest pain and cramps underneath my ribs,

I fealt embarassed to tell anyone I had cramps at the time,

and they just told me to hold my hands over hy head, which turned out to be bull sh##.

I always get them when i've ran for maore than 2 mins, I breathe a lot but not abnormally when I run, So I am sure its not lack of air.

I was also very well hydrated. Now I am starting to get them for no aparent reason and it's really worrying me. I can even feel a small one starting to flare up its just under my left rib cage.

thanx

I'm fortunate in that my addition to this thread is not going to be to report a health problem of my own. Touching wood firmly here, my general health is ok, even though I'm not exactly what you'd call the most healthy guy.

However I'd just like to add a point to what McTrinsic said about stopping smoking. The questions that I'd put to any of you smokers is this:

• When you started smoking, in what ways did you feel it would enhance your life?

• Several years down the line, do you feel that these enhancements are worth the amount of money you end up spending on tobacco?

I'm not going to preach about the health aspect, as none of you are dumb enough not to understand that smoking kills. I'm just surprised with posts like deadzombie's. He's stated a horrible health problem he's had over the last few days (by the way, I hope you're fully recovered DZ), yet he then goes on to say "They can have my smokes when they pry the pack out of my cold, dead, niccotine-stained fingers."

If I may be quite frank, then if you want to continue having problems like this, and worse in future years, then keep on smoking. I'm just telling you from experience of seeing a loved one kill themselves with cigarettes - it's no way to die, in fact it's absolutely ignominious. I suggest you reconsider your relationship with tobacco.

As I said in the 'Posting on a Forum' thread the other day, I don't tend to post anything potentially inflammatory. I'd normally deem this post thusly, as it's in some ways criticising deadzombie for his personal preferences. But as I watch friends no older than me smoking their youth away (put it this way, some are 20, look about 30, and can't run more than about twenty yards without running out of breath) and family members dead before their time, I judge this far too important an issue to duck away from.

Take care, and please reconsider.

Regards,

Mike
