xp skin for vista

doe anyone know how to get the windows xp look on windows vista without using windowblinds? (windowblinds just won't work. i've tried it, and it won't skin the UI) that means an .msstyle, not .wba. thanks.

Uhh... a rather unusual request here. May I inquire as to why you want to look at Fisher-Price-esque graphics?

That's the funniest description of XP that I've ever heard! I'm also quit curious as to why you are putting aside the nice Vista look to go back 5years.

Yeah.. possibly the weirdest request I've ever seen, but if you like Luna, oh well... Would taking the luna style from an xp computer and copying it over to vista work? I dunno.. just thinking aloud :P

haha lmfao fisher price.

try taking the default .theme/msstyles luna off of an XP?

the windows xp .msstyles are not compatible with Vista's version of the uxtheme skinning interface. i've tried it. multiple times. i just think it's a bit simpler sometimes, pus i've been using xp for as long as i can remember and just want a change of scenery once in a while. something familiar. thanks for the suggestions.

Surprisingly, I have had many requests asking how people can run Luna on Vista. The only way to use existing XP .msstyles is to convert them with SkinStudio and run them with WindowsBlinds on Vista.
