after playing sketchfighter 4000 alpha, a piece of memery just resurfaced. it's like one of these moments where a long lost memory hidden in your brain for a decade suddenly appeared because of an event or thing which reminded you of it.
there's this very old game, which i used to play which got deleted.
the game is so old, it might be even before the year 2000.
i do not remember the name, but there are still a few clues i can recall.
-there are multiple levels, and multiple maps.
-it's a windows game.
-the environment is sometimes astroid-like, volcanic, or basically a wasteland. it's not on earth, it's on another planet, or moon.
-the game is in a 3rd person view, similar to that of strategy games like starcraft or command and conquer.
-the ship, which you see in a bird's eye view, has WASD control for movement and a mouse to control it's aim. the ship can completly stop it's movement.
-there are minerals, which you can somehow collect (i'm not sure, but i think you get it from destroying an alien). the ship has a limited capacity, so the ship has to periodically return to the base and empty it into the bank.
-there are weapons, and a lot of other upgrades which can be created using the minerals you collected.
-by defeating, or activating switches, new pathways are found. this is how my memory clicked when i played sketchfighter on my ibook
i'm sorry, but that's all i can remember. the game has a demo, and the full version has to be purchased.it was a lot of fun, and i really missed playing the game. i'm not really requesting the game, but i want the name of it.
