Ok....n00b question.
Take the zip file...and...unzip it. take the folder and put it in the Desklets/Avetunes/skins folder.
Yes i've done that. But when I Add Avetunes in the Desklet and chooses my skin it still looks like the default one. :S

Look.
1. I Put my downloaded skin folder into the Avedesk/avetunes Skin folder.
2. In the Desklets control panel, I add Avetunes and chooses my Cold smoke Skin.
When I done that the Avetunes starts but it still looks like the default one.
Did you click apply. if you did then i dont know what the problem is...

Well ofcourse I did.
If I choose a skin that comes with the program it changes. But if I choose a skin I downloaded myself it still looks like the default one.
hmm...you must be doing something wrong...i can't think of another solution. wait until some other guru sees the thread...

Yes thats the right menu. I'm testing to choose a "standard" skin and the player changes, but when I choose one that I've downloaded the player looks like the default one.
Maybe my versions on Avedesk/Avetunes are too old?
