I need an mPlugin for iTunes 7.1.1

I need an mPlugin for iTunes 7.1.1 in order to read the Balaram font from Microsoft Word

Number 1 - Thats a statement, not a question.

Number 2 - Downgrade your iTunes, there is no mPlugin for 7.1.1.

Downgrade and then install the Multi Plugin and it will work.

How do you downgrade?

My iPod then, will that be affected?

Do I need to downgrade my iPod?

I also wanted to apply iPod wizard in order to change the fonts. do you know anything about that?

To downgrade, uninstall iTunes, install older version http://www.oldapps.com, then install Multi-Plugin, or get iTunes+Multi-Plugin Special Edition.

The only thing that happened to my iPod was that I had to disconnect, then reconnect to sync it if I wanted to right click -> Sync but when I formatted my computer it worked fine. Restore to default settings should work also.

Not as far as I know but I never update my iPod.

Depends what iPod you have. And if you have updated with iTunes 7 you can't use that anyway, its only for an old version of the iPod Updater that was a separate program from iTunes.

I'm sure localhost will be back with a new Multi-Plugin (he is taking longer than usual this time round...) so if you want to wait do that but if you really want to use the Multi-Plugin then try this out at your risk. iPods are weird sometimes...

carbonfox makes a good point.

i told you about everything you should need, therefore this thread is pointless.

Nothing is gonna happen to your iPod, nothing's gonna happen to your computer.

It's safe.

I don't think that Localhost will make a plugin for the newest version of iTunes simply because there's no point in doing so. People are managing fine with the special edition.

If there's anything new in iTunes 8, that's when he'll probaly update MPlugin.

There is, however, a motivation to get 7.2 because now you will be able to purchase some DRM-free music. I'm torn now between upgrading and sticking with my beautiful multiplugin skins.

So does this mean Multi-Plugin won't be updated no more? I have the new DRM-free iTunes (7.2) and it doesn't recognize my old mplugin.dll.

localhost designed the current Multi Plugin. So it depends on localhost as to whether it will be updated.

I was told that it would need to be a considerable upgrade, on iTunes's part, to merit the effort it would take localhost to bring out a new mPlugin. (e.g. waiting for iTunes 8 to come out, etc.).

As it stands, our option is to downgrade from http://oldapps.com.

I have iTunes 7.1.1 which is also not compatible with mPlugin.

I was advised not to upgrade in general because the older iTunes works perfectly well with the latest mPlugin.

As far as my own situation. I need to know if the latest mPlugin will enable me to use the Balaram font from Microsoft Word.

My thanks to all contributions so far - especially AppleThink & CarbonFox
