Messenger is being very weird lately, and won't let me start any conversations with my contacts. Any messages I send don't get through. From the moment I receive a message onwards, though, I can talk normally... I've tried re-installing messenger with no result. Anyone have any idea what I can do?

my guess is that you got some messenger virus.. anyways wrong tread.

I've been having the same difficulties you described, additionally my msn after any given number of hours randomly doesn't show half of my contacts and some contacts although online constantly appear offline and wont update the screen name or display picture. On occasion I've said something than the recipient receives it four or five hours later... I still havent found a solution, its not the app as you've pointed out, I've reinstalled newer/older versions plently of times and still no luck.. I've gotten frusterated to the point of getting a new account or moving to an alternative
