sometimes you can apologize ms' behaviour saying "there's just no other way to design it as apple did" but in this case there's no apology 
just another small thread late in the evening ...
and we care why? It's a simple effect I have seen placed on hundreds of wallpapers, TV commercials, and web pages. Why do you have to create such juvenile posts to begin with, besides, mac doesn't even hold 10% of the market share, go cry about that.
We should care because:
A. Microsoft has been caught copying over and over.
B. Microsoft & Linux
Who cares about Marketshare? The reason Microsoft holds that higher percentage is because when people want a computer they go to the nearest electronic store and thats all they have is Windows machines. If Mac's were in those stores, people would buy them.
A regular consumer would look at an iMac as expensive and a PC box very cheap ( but not necessarily good ) They don't understand what they are paying for.

i buy a PC and i know exactly wat kinda needs i needed to meet, i've bought an iMac (besides for Music) i don't know wat or why i'd bought it for.
Mang...u should check out my Vaio rocking alone with both Cinema Display , bottom line i think PC got shit loads of free TOYS to play with than uuhhmm APPLE?

I imagine that this has been discussed before, and for the most part, more eloquently that that.
At any rate, this effect has been popularized as of late by Apple, and recently adopted by Microsoft. The reason that I care (and that INpac and biggyme13) care is because one computer company used it, then another used an effect that's highly similar, thereby looking like a direct copy.
