How to avoid such a thing in windows
The window slides down and to either the left or right so it doesn't mask the previous.
any timу I open a new application or a window it tends to either shift down for a bit, or to the left.
Is it possible to turn off this sliding or it is that thing that is inbuilt in widows and nothing can kill it?
if my memory serves well with windowfx you can do it..
with remember each folders position or something like that..
you can try windowfx 
uhm, the taskbar menu gives you a "command" to cascade all the existing windows... there is no way from that menu to disable the normal cascading.
Moreover, not all the programs appear in a cascaded position in respect to a previous instance - maybe windowfx is a solution, maybe not
Yes. cascade command does not turn ofа this effect. windowfx also couldn't resolve it. This is a stupid window thing that doesn't have an option to disable it.
do you have an (older) ATI graphics card? the app called "hydravision" which comes with radeon ati drivers can control/remember window positions...

excellent. yeah, try installing then opening hydravision. there will be bunch of tabs, one of the is for control of window position.

There is a version with more features, as on my computer. You could try the ATI website and download the latest version...when I get home I could check the version number I have...
None of the things listed helped. The question is still unanswered. Anybody.
AutoSizer's got an option to "resize" windows as you please, this also entails specifying an exact window location.
I think you should try to be a little nicer to the people that try to help you in the future.
