Change Notifications In Vista

Do you guys know of any free apps that I can use with Vista to change the look of all notifications, such as low battery, new message on live messenger, new email, and things like that? Kind of like Growl for mac?

Hmm, not sure but I've seen some people customize the look of it over at neowin.

I have tried this out, but it doesn't work with all applications.. Messenger for example shows up all weird
