Yeah and people in turbans suddenly speak the queen's English. You oughta come here and give it a listen
was that a goodness gracious me reference?
Notice how its nice and stretched for you just the way you like it ![]()
They didnt make a fuse about it they were in japan! they speak japanese! In inda it was based around a university and a genetisist who wrote a world wide (worlds first laungue being english) book on genetics. a-durh.
as thehundrethone has pointed out, not everyone was part of the university. I can accept the geneticist with an american accent because he lived there for a while (although where the hell his son, [and wife] picked up a british one i don't know). I know what an indian who has recently come from india to america sounds like, and they definitely do not sound that way, even the bollywood superstars ![]()
it's also interesting how the actor portraying hiro is able to switch from an american accent to a japanese one so well. Finally, I don't mean this to turn into a discussion about this, i just was making a point, not really fair how we have to read japanese subtitles (even if commander sulu uses them) and indians don't get the proper coverage ![]()
