[release] Icalet For Rainlendar V2.0

Hi all,

As stated earlier last week, I have updated my mod of tolbertn's miCal skin for Rainlendar which I call iCalet.

Included in this update are: Both shadowed and shadowless background images, slightly more rounded edges to the background and an adjusted today.png.

P.S. @ Goku: You do not have my permission to distribute your mod of my mod of tolbertn's skin. Had you asked me first, I may have been more agreeable. I suggest you confer with tolbertn if you'd like to do your own mod of his original skin.

This goes for anyone else as well, ask me first. The reason I say this is because I have noticed some snapshots showing up over at haque.net of mods to mine/tolbertn's work. I have not seen anything in public distribution yet, but I do have my eye on the situation.

Hi all,

With the advent of jef's new "add shadow" program, it is now possible to have Rainlendar shadowed via WindowFX.

If one tries to do this to the current shadowless versions of my iCalet-Shadowless skins though it will not display the shadow correctly.

There will be a transparent margin all the way around the skin and the shadow will appear around the margin, making for a totally whacked out look.

Not to fear though, I have created a new versions just for use with jef's program.

They encompass more then just cropping the image, so if anyone gets that idea they will have some work cut out for them.

I did the appropriate cropping and adjustment of the displayed text already.

I will up them to DeskMod within 24 hours and post the links in this thread.

Hi all,

I'm seriously thinking of pulling support for all but the "AddShadow" versions of the iCalet skins.

Now that we can, if we like, have Rainlendar shadowed jef's AddShadow program and WindowFX, I see no need to maintain 3 seperate versions of iCalet, when one will suffice.

If anyone has any objections to this, please let me know here. If I don't get any overwhelming objections within the next 24 hours, I will pull the two other versions from DeskMod.com and only maintain the "AddShadow" versions.

I do feel this is for the best, as the shadowed versions did not to adhere to everyones WindowFX/Y'z Shadow settings and the shadowless versions will not get shadowed properly by WindowFX.

this is really pissing me off. i see a great app/skin and it is always linked to deskmod which was, in my eyes, always a cluttered and unrealiable site. post somewhere decent like deviant art,at least it doesnt go down because it "ran out of funds"

i didnt mean to take my anger out on you, im just mad deskmod went down. it was full of useful apps and skins, even if it was kind of cluttered and did not get updated much and i am sad to see it go for a while.
