Cheapest place to buy CS3?

Well I'm back from my trip to Chicago. So now its time to get the new CS3 suite.

Does anyone know a place that sells the educational version of Design Premium cheap?

So far cheapest I found was 600$ for this overpriced software, but I've heard its much cheaper at some other places... so if anyone has any ideas, tips whatever let us know, most of us live in these apps.

Yeah, the lowest I've seen is 599 also. That's a big discount, but maybe some coupon code for some other retailer could help.

Bittorrent

JUST KIDDING ...

hey interesting fact tho, which I heard on the radio recently- 'The Pirate bay' a swedish based p2p torrent site was originally shutdown by overseas authorities, but there was a big backlask by the swedish people and the government stepped in and re-allowed the site to open, furthermore a political party (known appropriately as 'The Pirate Party' was established) to fight for the right to piracy...

crazy huh? (correct me if I didnt quite get the facts right, i heard this like a week ago)

Sorry bout all the offtopic.

NOW...

first off, I'm assuming you're after the PC version?

Secondly, where do u live? (I want to visit u some time, JK)

I'd try buying from... Domayne, they usually have competative prices compared to Apple shops... but thats in Australia, assuming ur after the Mac version.

Is upgrade package an option?

Education Design Premium For Windows cheapest I can see is £540.08

Think its the right one... Never heard of the Store before.

PCSuperDeals

Edit:- Looking about $599 appears to be Adobe's Suggested Retail Price for the edu version anyways, there must be cheaper out there.

I agree that it is pricey but to say that it is overpriced is out of bounds. How do you know what it cost to produce the software? Have you ever owned a business and experienced the huge costs, including excessive taxation, that a company must endure to bring a product to market? Do you have any ideas on production or distribution costs?

The online blackmarket providers of pirated software are thieves. Where is the outcry against piracy?

It's America, and still free at this point, so if you don't like their prices feel free to start your own company and sell your product as cheap as you desire. Until then, pay what they ask or do something else. Don't take the Marxist route.

In Virginia Beach (family lives there) near the naval base, there's a store called Dusty's Hardware. It's a local place, the family operated sort. I forget where it was exactly, it's been maybe 6 months.

My Uncle who lives on the base found that place, and he's a big Anti-Pirate, so he wouldn't let me install my... version of CS3.

So we went out to that store, and he bought a full version of CS3 for $299. For PC. I remember seeing a bright colored Mac version of CS3 on the register counter, too, but for $349.

So you registered just to make that complaint?
