DS WiFi Connection via Mac

Hey there,

I'm trying to connect my Nintendo DS to the Nintendo WiFi connection via the AirPort card in my iMac. I've been playing with the settings for days. The connection test works, but when I connect to it through the actual games, its been giving me different error codes. The most recent is a "miscellaneous" error. I don't remember the code, but it started with a 6, and the Nintendo WiFi site didn't help too much.

Another strange thing is, this same method of connection works on my Nintendo Wii. So it works on the Wii, the DS "Test connection", but NOT the DS GAMES. Help?

Set up a static IP for the DS on your router, and in the DS' configuration settings. Alternatively, buy the USB wifi dongle.

The DS already has a static IP, though. And I wouldn't buy the USB dongle because...

1) I have a Mac.

2) Why would I buy it if I have a capable WiFi router already (my Mac)? It works fine with the Wii, and SHOULD be working with the DS.

Not necessarily. The DS was released before the Wii. Its wireless capabilities may not be comparable to the Wii's.

True. You do know that the DS only works with WEP, right?
