Regarding Changing Boot Logo....

Hi friends.. im new to this forum. I found very interesting topics here... i tried 2 change my Windows Boot Logo using Resource Hacker. But its allowing only 16bit color mode images in which the images are looking ugly. How 2 put the image in normal color mode... i think its possible as BootXp is doing it na.... Hope ull help me...

Thanks in Advance....

Hmm, I see this thread getting off-topic, veering away from the original question. If I weren't going to bed now, that would be okay because I'd be able to monitor this...but I'm going to bed!

I'd rather not close this thread, but if we don't get on topic soon, I sense some mass banning in the future :D!

Could try Bootskin, can easily be set back to the default boot. Bootskins in XP will only allow 16 color, there is a version of Bootskin that allows true-color but it was never released because of the way it works with BIOS (some BIOS don't like it and it won't work at all, which is true for any of the versions).

The images are 16-color for a reason--that's all XP supports. I'm not sure if BootXP does it naturally or if the images are really 16-color, but if you read Bebi_Bulma's explanation, you'll see that "some BIOS don't like it and it won't work at all".
