iPod not syncing TV Shows
What kind of syncing options did you choose? (Sync All, Sync All Unwatched, etc.)
all of em.
a). Are you sure iTunes has recognised them as TV shows (see under 'get info')
. Try setting it as a movie instead and see what happens
c). make sure the shows are checked under 'sync only checked items'
d). Is there enough space to put the videos on? According to iTunes, it will first put music, then videos (i suppose music videos first), then pictures.
e). you probably didn't convert these yourself but if you did, are they compatible with the ipod? I think the apple store now has videos at a higher resolution than the original 5G's can take...
Try setting the ipod to sync only checked items, uncheck the shows, sync, then check them and sync, see what happens. It's probably iTunes thinking that you can't play the videos on the ipod, so if that doesn't work, try removing them from the library (start with one, obviously) and add them again.
a.) - iTunes recognizes it as a TV Show
b.) - Tried setting it as a movie, and it worked.
c.) - i chose to sync all TV Shows
d.) - Enough Space
e.) - Converted them myself. I chose to use only 1 episode, and it won't sync, but all the other episodes will. I didnt know that the iPod has a resolution limit :slant:...
Edit: something weird just happened. When i click on "Get Info" of the episode, my whole screen went black :S
Could this be a Multi Plugin Bug?
Apps running at that time was WLM Plus!, iTunes, IE.
I'm pretty sure the iPod doesn't have a resolution limit, at least, not as low as 320 x 240. I've got Top Gear episodes that are about 640 x 420 and they transfer fine.
It could be an issue with Multi Plugin. Try uninstalling it and seeing if it works then.
Still had this problem before MPlugin :slant:
does itunes give a dialog box when you try and sync, like 'this video is not compatible with this ipod'?
rightclick the ipod icon and press reset warnings, and see if there is none right now.
No, there's no dialogue. It's not just with this video however, anything i put into TV Shows just...doesn't sync lol.
ah i remember the problem i had too.
put the name of the show in the 'artist' field (like all your music) and fill in the other 4 boxes under video, whether you have to make it up or not.
this is probably caused by you selecting which shows to sync OR having some videos with information and others without, if you'd have chosen sync ALL shows you wouldn't notice this happening (well i didn't with itunes 6)
wow, thanks slewed, that did the trick.
now i dont have my Movies and TV Shows combined like a barbarian.
