strange audio problem mac mini

ok, so i've had this mac mini since before xmas last year.

it's a core solo version, anyway i've had this annoying problem with some songs in itunes.

where with my speakers the bass really pounds to the point the song is quite distorted.

I can't actually listen to alot of my music because of this, as the distorting is making them un listenable.

I ahd a look over the internet for a solution but only found people with buzzing sound, and thats not what i have.

any ideas?

but i'll try it again.

usually its the bass problem. try bass reducer and lower it a little more. or, try Treble Booster. i have this problem too, but this fixed it to an extent

if its with just some songs, it could be due to a bad tag telling itunes to play the song at the wrong volume,

plug in headphones and see if the song is still distorted, if so search google for mp3gain (although its for windows...)

try this

go to the Treble Booster preset, and lower the bass the same amount as the treble goes high (like a mirror effect or something)

ah i seem to have cracked it, i disabled 'sound enhancer' and click the option to check volumes and equale them out..
