Deleting Error

i'm having a trouble trying to delete 1 of a folder, doesn't matter wat i do: rename, individual deleted some files & some cannot, rebooting it...completed shut down still.

Delete folder error message: cannot find the specified file, make sure you specify the correct path and file name.

Delete file inside the folder message error: cannot read from the source file or disk.

I have this problem too with an .icns file. Unlocker doesnt work, neither does safe mode.

I also have this .mp3 file that i cannot scan, erase, view properties, or anything. All i can do is add it to my playlist. It might be a virus, but i've had it for a 2-3 months now and everything is running fine....

i've found that having a dual boot configuration can solve a heap of problems, for example when i had vista rc1, i could delete errant files in xp easily, since the explorer.exe process wasn't locking the file in vista.

now that i have ubuntu, its a bit different since it moves it to a folder called .trash[username] in the same folder, and then i have to go and delete it from xp afterward..

oh and zero, its slewed , you can't be that desperate to save typing 2 letters next to each other..
