'New Applications' position, in build 828

I updated from (Beta 4) build 169 to build 282, and I found out that I can't come with a way to tell the launcher where do I want the 'New Applications' to appear.

In the previous version, I only had to move the (New Application) icons and they continued to pop right beside that position, even after I restarted the application. But now, I can't find a way to do the same with this version, it's like it's toying with me —it isn't, right?—. It doesn't matter what, where, or the order I move the icons, it simply ignores that and pops the icons whenever it seems to be their default position (usually next to Control Panel).

Anyone has came up with a way to solve this? A workaround, maybe?

Regards.

I have the same problem. The only solution I found (not a great one really...) is to disable minimizing to RKL. The bug was present in the previous build too (275).

I'm on Vista and I thought that might be the problem (you know, with the config files kept in that "virtual store").

open RKLauncher.conf with Wordpad.

go down to where it says [behavior], under that, you can customize all of the positions for minimized windows, new apps, etc.

does that help with what you need?

Thank you, it did. I'm sure I searched the file looking for "position", but I guess maybe I had either the whole-word or case-sensitive options set.

Just out of curiosity, do you know if there's any way for RKL to 'remember' the properties for those applications not kept in the bar? I changed the name of a couple of apps setting (and leaving) the 'same instance' box, but it made no difference.

To change the placing of the minimized windows and new applications look at the options at the bottom of the 'Exceptions' tab.

As of right now RKL does not remember information for applications that are not kept in the bar. This is a planned feature.
