Hawkeye ShellInit doesn't work anymore?

For the past week the margin I have for RkLauncher hasnt been working it only stays up for a few seconds. Anybody know how to fix this? Or have any suggestion for programs that work like Hawkeye. Preferably ones I don't have to keep running all the time.

WinAmp is known to destroy the margin on exit.

xBar works similar to HSI but I found it even more unreliable in terms of screen margin. You can give a try though.
