iPod 1G Search?

I have a 1GB First Gen. Nano, and with my library as large as it is (a whopping 280 Songs) i would really appreciate a search feature such as what is on the new ipods, and I do NOT have the 150 to go and buy a new one. Does anyone know of a hack or other way to get the search feature?

I am sorry if i posted something someone asked, but I couldnt find it in search.

there is no way to do that. It's a software feature that is added to 2nd gen nano and 80GB video ipod's
