Aladdin effect causes error report

Hi, I have downloaded and instaled the genie plug in, but it causes a windows error report to be generated every time I use it. If I switch back to the 'scale' effect all is fine again. Is there a reason for this? I did read through the other posts but couldn't find a fix. I would love to get this working.

I have an X1800XT ATI card installed - which is a direct 9c card...

Any help would be great, thanks.

Yeah I get the a direct 3d error, or whatever its called. I tried upgrading this, but it does not work.
