Recording HD Cable on my computer

Mmkay, there's this show coming on Discovery HD Theater next week, and I really want to watch it. The problem is, I'm going to be away on a cruise, so I won't be able to see it. My cable box is a Scientific Atlanta Explorer HD3250, which is one of the few Firewire-enabled cable boxes out there. Unfortunately, it is not a DVR.

But, if you can connect it to a PC, you can make it work on a PC. So does anyone know how to record a show, onto my hard drive, over a period of days?

I basically need a way to schedule my computer's recording, and to receive the signal in HD. Help, please, I'm leaving on Sunday!!

No...but a Tivo may help. I think they have some kind of Firewire port so you can record something and link it to your box's TV guide.

Well, TiVo was kind of an obvious answer, and I'm thinking the only thing I should have to buy is a FireWire cable. Thanks for the reply!
