Updating Media player 11

i'm running Windows media center edition 2005 SP2 Pro

When i try to install it tells me need to update Rollup 2 so i downloaded rollup2 for windows media center Edtion2005

And now ...Rollup2 needed to update Framework 1.1 SP1 before installed it, which i already had it, tried updating it anyway but fail to update, do i need to remove one of the old updated in-order to update the new one?

i'm really appreciated someone help me out here, this thing really annoying me right now!

Thanks in advance

Nonsense. Someone might come along presently with a solution!

You could try removing the old Framework 1.1...if necessary, you'll always be able to re-install it.

Good luck!

i've found a solution and sucessfully updated it

For those who's running windows Media Center Edition 2005 XP SP2

1- remove hotfix (KB886904) under framework 1.1 then go here get ur latest framework update [u need to use Internet Explorer browser in order for the link to work]

2-download Update Rollup 2 save installer on desktop

3-download Windows Media player 11 save this one as well

now install Rollup2 when done restart, install Windows Media Player 11

It's all good to go ;)

P.S: Say Good Bye to iTunes [No good for PC, at least for me]
