On that thread someone says that you can download all the extras that come with ultimate online.. where? I'd be really interested to download some.

If you're running Vista Ultimate, these show up as downloads when you go to the Windows Update site...if you're not running Ultimate I don't think you have access to them.
That's correct.
The Ultimate Extras are part of the Windows Update process.
If you aren't running Ultimate, you cannot download or install them.
you can however, use the site to buy ultimate and then download the extras 
unfortunately they are even not available for the vista RC2 version which is also an ultimate version 
I would have thought it would be relatively easy for someone with Ultimate to port 'em over to Home Premium for example.. Although I don't know whether it's legal, or if Microsoft would like that very much..
