Unable to hibernate WinXp Sp2

hi everybody

i know there is other thread with the same title, but i have read it and it seems like a joke. Some people confuse the problem itself with the concept of software...

Well, this is true, flyakite has somehow a problem with the hibernate system. I have a (quite new, jan 2007) laptop hp dv9000 with amd atlon (double core) and a preinstalled winxp. The hibernation worked well before installing flyakite and after that never again.

Knowing that the previous thread about this topic is from aug 2006, maybe flyakite doesnt work fully ok with the newest versions of the operating system, because i had it installed before in other laptop (also hp) and it worked so well.

so, any solution to this problem?? any recommendation? any idea?? the solution based on msgina.dll doesnt work, at least for me.

anyway, flyakite is a very good SOFTWARE effort.

cheers

Well, what happens if you disable and enable hibernation? Perhaps disable, click apply, restart, enable, click apply, and restart again.

-NC

yeah that usually clears things up. if not, then uninstall FAK and reinstall it.

Just disable hibernation, restart in safe mode, show hidden and system files and delete the "c : hiberfil . sys" from there. Restart again, enable hibernation again... restart... again.

Done :D
