Video Converter for ipod

I am wondering if anyone knows the best software for converting various video formats to the ipod format, mp4 I think, that is free... for windows

In this new forum, you'll have to specify what OS you're using. If you're using OS X, iSquint is pretty good.

I agree on the iSquint front.

If you're using Windows, I'd go for the Jodix free iPod Video Converter. Only one thing: the videos it creates tend to be a little buggy. I don't know why they do this, but after I'm done watching one of the videos created with it on my iPod, it reboots. It's weird.

it has a lot of pre set profiles for new users, and if you can get the hang of it you can get great quality for tiny filesizes.

I use an older version (0.91) and i think it's so great, i convert older movies made with other software again with this.

you'll have to remember to change the settings to mp4, with a h264 codec and aac audio, and beware of the size of the video, but its quite good.
