How do I install and set up RK Launcher?

I Just Downloaded The Zip...

Now What? How Do I Install It, Change The Settings Get Themes, Get Icons!

Thanks! Maybe This Could Be A Beginers Guide!

wow! use the search feature at the top of the screen. you don't "install" it. It's ready out of the zip, just find a place you'd like to keep it.

First things first, make sure you have the lastest build you can get it here

The simplest way to do this is, unzip the contents of the zip file anywhere you like, common place is the program files on the c drive. Depending on your archiver your using it might have created a folder called "rk launcher" or something like that.

Within that folder you will see a file called "RKLauncher.exe" double click this. The dock should now be at the bottom of your screen.

To change any setting right click the dock and then select settings.

thanks! ive done it but how do you set and get different icons becus wen i drag other stuff the icon goes very ugly and pixelated :S

In your RK folder you've got a sub folder called Icons.

Drop any new icon in there. Next right click your new item, select Dock Item Properties. Then change icon. You will see a browse button too, you can use this to find icon's on your PC.

What folder are the XP icons usually in on an XP computer?

(e.g. what's the file path?)

The Xp icons are in the shell32.dll

Path normally cwindowssystem32shell32.dll

you could use reshacker to extract them, if you want them for rk launcher

once you are in the dll then all you have to do is navigate to icons then copy and paste the icon to paint and save as a .png

or just search google for them

Where are the files for the taskbar (volume, network..) and for the windows picture viewer. Their not in shell32.dll. Is there a list somewhere which icon are in which dll?
