Reshacker/resedit for linux?

Sometimes, like in Windows, In linux icons are embedded in exacutables.....

However, I can't find a reshacker like appy for linux...any one YOU GUYS use?

linux devs love to code there images into tgz, tar balls, and other various formats. Maybe the icons you are looking for arent ico, png, jpg,. maybe they are .img, .pct, .x, .gfc or anything else like that.

I'm pretty sure abiword use the icons from your icon theme, most of the time the icon themes don't provide these icons so it just use the old gnome icons (/usr/share/icons/gnome) .

The icon are not embeded in the application like windows, most of the time are in:

/usr/share/pixmaps

/usr/share/NameOfTheApp

or the icons from your theme.
