OK, I'm a experience gimp user....I can even do some photoshop tutorials...... However, I'm just stuk here. I'm doing this tutorial:http://www.axialis.com/tutorials/tutorial-misc003.html
and I got to the part where it called for distort....I can't find something similar where you can change a selection like that in the gimp....Help???
distort is basicly changing the shap of the item by changing persective and hight or weather it a square object.
i've not used Gimp in a few years so i'm afriand i don't know how to it in the gimp.
Sorry to say it, but that's why GIMP is free, and Photoshop isn't.
well, for that particular effect, you can simply vertically transform. Make it shorter. I don't know where that function is in GIMP, but I'm sure it's there.
Just use the perspective tool: shift+p

There's a number of good existing tutorials out there for the Gimp for this style of button. Me thinks I made a post a long long time ago.
