I just started to create my first Visual Style:
This is only done in Photoshop because I don't know how to make a VS...
If someone can help me, send me a pm...
How do you like the skin so far?

the easiest way to make a visual style is to use StyleBuilder
I like it! I think that, with a bit of attention to the details, it would look really good as a VS...
And it would be perfect if there was a glossy version too, and a Windows Start menu version...
Like it, but it might look better with a black border around the entire window rather than just at the titlebar.
this looks like it's coming along nicely. keep it up! now, i have a suggestion: i think you should lose the apple logo on the start button and come up with something original and more in line with the rest of the theme. it doesn't look bad, but the theme doesn't look very appley. or, you could have 2 shells: one apple, one original. just a thought...

nice, simple, clean, borderless and minimalistic- I like.
I think the matte (unglossy style) works fine tho... But i do agree with others in that I would love to see this come out with a windows logo too (simple and white just like the apple one)....
Look forward to its creation... (whoever or however its made)

* I second what's been said here, except about the borders. Keep the borders as small (or none at all) as possible
* Loose the Apple logo, for the sake of originality, and for lessening the resemblance with Cold (not implying anything).
* To be honest I didn't like the buttons on the second draft much.
* This is a longshot, but being a findexer user, I'll humbly request a horizontal shellstyle. (If that works at all..?)

Nice style, It looks good without the borders.
I also recomend dropping the apple icon. It's too overused in my opinion.
I'm starting to make my first theme and I'm looking into using SkinStudio 6 when it is released. (Anyone know when it is going to be released)
From what I've seen it looks easier to use, with more options than StyleBuilder.
Have you started to skin it yet? I'd be interested to hear what programs you use and how you get along with them.
I agree with Furikuu, a black border around the whole windows would look much better than just the title bar. A thinker titlebar like in Mac os x will make it much cooler.
