Bulky Apps

Ok...as whole, I'd say I have my system neat, minimal and clean. However three apps, Gaim and Fileroller and and Image vieeiw are jsut plain bulky...What can I do to debulk?

Yeah, but UGLY...the faces, and emoticons and everything *pukes repetively* and that makes it v. bulky for me.

hahaha sorry, didn't realize you were talking about linux. There is a Miranda for Linux thread on the Miranda forums - I think you may get it to work under Wine - otherwise I agree, it's quite different to find a good replacement for Gaim. Gaim works really well IMO, but doesn't look nice at all.

Have you tried Mercury (msn + ~jabber) or maybe Kopete ?

Heh...No. I think that wheat I really need is a good set of cions and a lil resource hacking.

There's always icon packs for GAIM. I'm using the Tango set and it looks great. No need for resource hacking.
