Blimey..msn kids these days, don't even know how to capitalize properly.

Anyways, here goes:

1. Lyrics are stored within the mp3 itself. So no, uninstalling and reinstalling itunes won't erase them.

2. No, your library isn't automatically saved. You have to do it yourself. Before re-installing, just back-up your library. In iTunes: FileExport Library. Save it in a proper location. This will also save all your playlists and such.

3. When iTunes is re-installed: FileImport. Locate your saved library (it will be saved as a file with extension .xml), load it, and voila..all your playlists are back.

EDIT: if iTunes won't even open I can't help you. Looks like you're gonna have to start all over again.

Back up all the files in C:Documents and Settingskristy888My DocumentsMy MusiciTunes, although you don't have to back up the music files unless you want to. The .xml files contain your library and playlist information.

is it 100% true that the lyrics are saved on the mp3 itself because i rightclicked on the mp3 and looked at lyrics and well nothing was there.. =(

i cant physically see the lyrics stored anywhere?

also i cant backup the files since the problem is that itunes will not open or react at all whenever i click on it hence i cant go to file-export etc.

is there another way?

thankx for helping!

erm..also the reason i dont cap or punctuate is because i personally believe that there is no need for that when typing on the internet in forums etc. not because of msn! i dont even go on msn! stereotyping everyone who dont cap really isnt necessary..

plus i can cap properly especially in writen essays..i just choose not to on the internet..it makes it too formal and remind you too much of school hence arousing the stress within you

anyway

thankx for the help!
