annoying scroll bar bug

It happens with IE7 and inside Add/Remove programs.. It also happens in Aptana IDE..

I guess it just happens randomly... who knows?

Is there a quick/known way to fix this? It's really annoying to the point where I will probably uninstall FAK if it doesn't go away..

.

Also (probably nothing to do with FAK) when you right-click on IE7 toolbar (to use WinRoll) the usual menu with min/max/restore options etc. still pops up...

.

Thanks!

I HATE THAT!!! its the visual style, not FAK.

im afraid thats just how IE was made. sorry. i switched to windowblinds and that fixed the problem.

I don't know what windowblinds is, and I'm not too eager to install more stuff to cover it up... I wanted to keep the amount of third party stuff on my fresh reformat to a minimum.. :(

Thanks for quick reply anyway

As said, that scrollbar phenomena is because of the msstyle ur using. Windowblinds is a themeing software. Although u would have to install it, when in use, it has an almost zero memory footprint. But yeah, either try another msstyle or just switch to windowblinds. U won't be sorry

FAK uses a patcher so you can use 3rd party Visual styles with the native window's theming engine.

You often see that bug when theme creators put extended scrollbar "cups" to mimic the mac themes. Other porters will mod it a bit so that they are sort of half-cups, so you don't have that problem.

IMO if you're going to bother working on a visual style, design it so it looks halfway decent as a visual style in windows. I remove the fake cups from most mac themes.

If you aren't going to move to WIndowblinds, you'll either have to find another theme, or mod that one yourself.

thanks for all the replies... im still new to FAK, but the main attraction was that it was an all-in-one package.. I guess I will deal with it or uninstall it.. time will tell...

Another thing: can I get rid of all the stuff that was actually ripped off from Apple?

(i.e. the Apple splash screen with the moving dots (at startup), the Apple login screen, the Apple emblem in my computer, etc..)

Firstly, I don't think it's right to use copyrighted Apple images, and secondly it defeats the whole philosophy of FAK -- I DON'T want a Mac.. I just like the LOOK of a Mac and it's visual style.. but I'm still using Windows and I don't want to have apple signs anywhere on my PC except maybe the start menu..

Now I tried to uninstall the mentioned components using FAK uninstaller, but they are still there... so what do I do?

Cheers
