Slick Desktop?

I knwo this sounds wacky, but ...yeah. I've had some bad, so so-so and some ok desktops. Never have I had a great one..... I'm running a mod of Calla(it's black) I'm not going for a area o4 look, just a very sleek, minimal one... Any GTK ideas, config ideas, icons, apps, gdesklets etc?

Have you tried Lokheed's Tempura theme for GTK? I think it's both sleek and minimal.
