Identifying hard disk drive speed

i am planning to add another hard drive, but i'm not sure what my current one's specs are.

i know its a WDC1200 or something, and it has a SATA connection, my problem is identifying the number of rpm's it makes, and whether or not it is a SATA-I (1.5Gbps) HD or SATA-II (3.0Gbps).

edit: a quick google found out its 7,200RPM, i need to know the connection as i have my eyes on a sata-ii drive...

This used to be available from the developer's site, but it's not supported anymore. Still, it may have the information you want.

Hope it helps!

I'm not the best person to ask on HD stuff, but the first result on Google shows an HD matching your description that's SATA II. However, if you read the link, you'll see they're not quite sure either.

Hmm...

i saw it nc, thanks anyway. I figure if i add a SATA-II to a SATA-I interface it'll still work, like adding usb 2 to 1.1... just a bit of a waste i suppose.
