Why hasn't apple provided ogg support for ipods yet? Do you think the new lawsuit regarding the mp3 codec will have the reconsider this, or will they stick to their aac format? Has anyone tried ipodlinux...im pretty sure it supports ogg; but I am skeptical about the sound quality, etc.
MP3 - Apple - Ogg
Don't wanna sound like an arse (too late)... but who the heck uses OGG? Real question is, get damn WMA support so I can subscribe to some other services...
If an ipod supported it, I would convert all my mp3s to apple. Trying to go with opensource.
and why would you use wma?
i never use wma, tis an evil medium, similar to that of wmv which cannot be avoided upon the internets.
my firefox has a habitual problem w/ wmv on the internets. I am always getting this error message and sometimes it makes the fox crash if you don't click the "leave me the hell alone" checkbox.
Well I am a big fan of the music subscription services. I've used Napster and Urge, both are great, really shocked... but big problem is I'm a mac user. So they're useless when I'm in OSX but wonderful when I'm in Vista.
So thats why the damn iPod and iTunes need to support this crap, but that will never happen cause of apples $**t itunes store.

i had one of those trial subscriptions to napster and i have to agree. a much under-rated service.
and yeah, who really cares about lossless audio when you're listening through $6 earbuds?

Hey! rockbox is the only reason I still use my ipod.
Nothing like playing some pokemons after listening to some music.
pokemons? hows that possible?
Rockboy. the gameboy emulator for rockbox.
Sound doesn't work so well, but I don't play pokemon for the music. (even though pokemon has awesome music)
I'd probably use it just for the themes.
