Reposition The Icon Placement

in windows xp, when a new icon is created (such as a downloaded file) and the download completes, the icon appears in the upper left hand corner. I have AveDesk installed, and when a new icon is made it goes behind the AveShortcut. Its a pain in the behind to move the AveShortcut (PIdlshortcut for those who are familiar to AveDesK) out of the way; move the new icon; and put the AveShortcut back where it was. i tried to use AutoMounter, and Hide the Icons (or whatever) but it proved to be buggy because when the icon was created a "My Computer" icon just appeared with no Target.

The reason i tell you this leads to why i made this thread. is there a code in the registry that has this property? because i would very like to reposition it to the lower left hand corner.

any tip would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
