Vista weather gadget on sidebar--"Service not available"

I'm trying to use the weather gadget on vista's sidebar,

It always says "Service not available", It worked for a while but than stopped permanently.

I'm in Israel but the local settings are set to United States.

Any suggestions? thanks =]

Service not available in your language or region.

Changing your regional settings to US + English will enable the weather content, that is naturally not the desired beheviour.

Actually, I did changed my regional settings to US + English but it's still doesn't work :( :(

I had the same problem. I changed the location of my windows vista. This was the problem. It is absolutly neccessary that language which is set as "Current format" (in Formats-Tab) and the Current location (in Location-Tab) are the same in Regional an Language Options.

After I set both back to the same value my weather gadget was working again immediately.

This is related to the microsoft knowledge base arcticle KB931272 (support.microsoft.com/kb/931272/en-us).
