this has to have been planned before the iphone was even announced. it's just a filing for a patent, they might not even get it. even if they do -- it doesn't mean they will use it. most likely they will just sit on it so other companies can't develop something similar

Hey now....Microsoft is bringing what the people want to compete with iPod. It's Vista. The sleek design of the box comes in fantastic colors and the design is innovative with the rounded corner. Wow. I'm keeping my eye out for a cool docking station for the Vista box. Sweet. Just plug in a good set of brain buds and you're off and computing.

For some reason, I disagree, I dont think that only apple can dominate the market, there has to be something up there too. That posess the same factors and also the same material... maybe the phone is overdoing it, but the zune was established for that competition because before you know it; apple will become a monopoly.
