Wow, about a month or two ago you didn't know anything about customizing your PC either. //Respekt [sic]! -NC

For future reference to the op: Hit the "Windows Key" + PAUSE|BREAK on your keyboard or right click on My Computer and hit properties.

The problem isn't finding which version I have, I can find it, it's just that the version I have doesn't correspond to any of the options Microsoft gives to download IE7 for. I know enough to find which OS I have..

have you tried downloading the latest one, installing it and seeing what happens?

if not, hey!, take a chance, the worst thats likely to happen is it'll stop you.

if you have, post the error it gives

Knowing Microsoft, actually, the worst that's likely to happen is that your computer will pick itself up and throw itself out the window :P.

//Thread Title Edited

First it was unclear, so I edited it unobtrusively to something less ambiguous. Apparently my best guess as to your question was wrong, so now I've edited it again.

Yeah.. thats what I'm worried about :P

I tried installing the one for SP2 and my computer started making weird clicking noises and it came up with a message saying that I don't have SP2.

But it was weird, I tried opening up Pandora Tomorrow after that and I had to restart my computer before it would work.

You may not be able to run IE7. IE7 only supports Windows XP SP2. If you are running XP - you can download SP2 to fix a bunch of security updates and then upgrade to IE7. Know what you are getting into however, as the user interface for IE7 has changed drastically. It is more efficient, but you have to give it some time to get used to it and then it will work for you and there are big features like tabbed browsing, phishing filters and other security benefits.

If you are running Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows 98, Windows 95 or even Windows NT, you will have to upgrade to Windows XP SP2 before you can install IE7. Alternatively, you can get a new PC with Windows Vista on it and you will automatically have IE7 =)

I have windows XP and I used to have IE7 RC1 on it, but there were no different versions for RC1, it just said: "IE7 RC 1 Download"
