-New types of elements (system options, separator, conection, control panel, folder menu)

-Start menu replacement (WindowsXP only)

-Fixed runned window focus bug

-Fixed all windows blocking (when active only RunMe)

-Fixed captions in item properties

-Fixed activation on Alt+Tab etc.

Now I have no time on active development of the program,

but I will be glad to your remarks and new themes. Use of other languages will be added later.

My dear friend, in your new release it is inactive tab a choice of languages and the folder with language files is absent as a class. It was necessary to copy from the previous versions and to make changes in config.ini But thus there are not translated new elements. I hope, it will be correct.

Very valuably, that the program develops and extends in the form of archive, instead of installator. It very much is pleasant to me. Thanks. Success also we wait for new releases.

PS And icons you have in vain thrown drawing. At you it is devilishly class it turns out.

Друх мой, в вашем новом релизе неактивна вкладка выбора языков и папка с языковыми файлами отсутствует как класс. Пришлось копировать из предыдущих версий и вносить изменения в config.ini Но при этом остаются не переведенными новые элементы. Надеюсь, исправите.

Очень ценно, что программа развивается и распространяется в виде архива, а не инсталлятора. Мне это очень нравится. Спасибо. Удачи и ждем новых релизов.

I really love your App. It's just great!

I am also an developer and I'm very glad if someone is doing some qualityassurance for me and my applications.

So I thought you don't mind to have a feedback on app-behaviour and/or bugs:

here the most annoying things:

- Apps started by runme all have focus issues (some need to be klicked 2-3 times before they work correctly)

- use Drag&Drop to add items (not only "Add Item" -> Link -> ... -> ...)

- move Items by Drag&Drop in the menu (not only Cut&Paste)

optional:

- sorting in groups (like "Sort by Name" in the Windows start menu)

- runme is always on top --> wouldn't it be good to add an option to show on the desktop level (like the vista sidebar for example)

- option to keep runme completely shown (like a pin-button, for example)

- possibility to place runme free on the screen (not only left, top or right) -> maybe effect to fade in or out if runme is not placed at the screenborder ...

- addition to the item above: icon in the systemtray the show/hide runme or runme as popupmenu to a systemtray-icon

PS: my windows lose focus if I press CTRL+B (only if runme is running), but I don't see any effect going with runme ... ?!

It's strange - I had similar problems in older version (0.7.5 RunMe and Application "struggled for activity"). I do not wish to tell that if I have no problem that it absent, I try to check up it.

You can D&D files/folders from Explorer and You can D&D items with Shift button and delete items (drag and drop away from RunMe, with shift also).

Sorry, I think it's not very good idea - it's not such big menu with "casual" links like Programs menu (Maybe like in Vista Start menu?).

It's possible, but it's not better when desktop icons.

Please, try option "Instead of start menu". In general, it is almost ready but there are many unpleasant trifles while.

Wow! Really, I don't know why. Only Ctrl+R, but I have fixed it in last version (just download once again zip archive - it's newer version 0.8.1)

With regards to the focus issue, I found this on the Otaku forums which sounded interesting...

Ok, so i see that a lot of you seem to have problem with the hotspot fuction...

Indeed, when you activate the flip feature through a hotspot, you will, generally, be unabled to use the mousewheel to cycle the windows....

This is NOT a TopDesk bug...

It is a Windows "feature", the Focus stealing prevention... this "feature" ensure that no aplication will steal the focus of the currently active window, this is particularly usefull when writing stuff....

so the only way to bypass this function, while enabled, is to give focus to the windows with the mouse (usually by faking a mouseclick...) but this is not the best way, by far...

FOR USERS :

to fix the problem you simply have to disable this function in Windows, the easiest way is tu use TweakUI (from microsoft) available somewhere on theire website, and also included inside their Powertoys apps.

Once inside TweakUI, this is generally, under the Focus options, (you need to expand General for that)

Than uncheck "Prevent Application From Stealing Focus" and it will work like a charm after that.

FOR DEV TEAM.

this ioption is only a reg key (HKEY_CURRENT_USERControl PanelDesktopForegroundLockTimeout"

( value : "0" when off / "30d40" (hexadecimal when on) )

so the best thing for you to do is to simply add two steps when activationg a hotspot.

- activating hotspot

- deactivate focus stealing prvention

- stealing focus (because we are bad)

- Show Flip3d

- reactivate Stealing focus prevention (not so bad after all)

and everything whoul work fine.

you could also simply add the option (to disable or enabled permanently) in you settings but an auto deactivate/activate not requirering human intervention would be best.

I fix the language problem, thanks, as soon i fix that solve too the problem with the Run TextBox, before when tried to put a Run Object it give me a group whit an ugly item than no let me do anithing, after fix the language (Make Folder "Languages", copy the file there, edid config.ini, add key "Language=Spanish".) all solve it self.

The issue with the system objects still not work, details:

- Got Windows XP SP2.

- Conections call Close Sesion.

- Fonts calls Shutdown

- Close Sesion call Restart

- System calls Accesibility Options

When i made changes in some settings the program crash, ie: "SettingsOther", check "Load on StartUp" option, clik OK... Crash!!

PD: Sorry the bad language, English is not my mother lang.

I have downloaded the last version, and by the time to fall in love with it, I have discovered that once I start using other theme than Vista3 (e.g. Aqua White (with user image+new animation) ) each time I am restarting the app I get the error: There were problems loading links.

I haven't modified any links yet. Also if I go to config.ini and change back the theme to Vista3, everything works as expected. I also tried with Vista 2 and got it working. So, there is something wrong with settings the default theme to Aqua White.

Any ideas? TIA,

Further investigation shows that the problem comes from Skin.ini in the mentioned theme. If I replace the Skin.ini with the one from Vista3 the program starts correctly. Considering the length of the file and that I don't have any ideas about what those variables are used for, is anyone having an ideas of what can be wrong with it?

Got it: it is the value of ShadowSmooth=2,6 that makes it crash. If I am changing it to 2 for example it is working.

Just a quick note about another possible issue: when launching an application the focus remains on RunMe and is not passed to the app. This may lead to weird behavior when combined with keyboard shortcuts.

On focus, please try this: change in registry (regedit) HKEY_CURRENT_USERControl PanelDesktopForegroundLockTimeout to "0". And restart Your PC.

My registry value is already set to 0, and the behavior is the one I initially reported.

A new weird issue:

- I have installed the TaskSwitchXP tool (an enhanced alt tab replacement)

- if I move around the windows, RunMe is on the list and if it gets the focus the UI is becoming a white line and from this on it becomes in-usable.

I have noticed that other applications (RK Launcher for example) have a setting: Do not take focus. I think this should be available in RunMe too.

Usually if you set the window(*) with the "WS_EX_TOOLWINDOW" long parameter too (I say too because I think you already use "WS_EX_LAYERED") programs such as TaskSwitchXP don't list it.
