audiobooks in iTunes

hey everyone,

i was wondering how can i add audiobooks to the audiobooks section of iTunes. i've tried just importing them, but it sticks them in the library and doesn't even put them in the audiobook sections.

anyone know how to do it?

AFAIK you can't. the section is only for audiobooks you bought from the itunes store... same as podcasts.

They will appear in the Audiobooks section if you convert the files to .m4b format.

You can do this using iTunes AAC encoder which converts the files to .m4a & then you need to manually change the extension to .m4b (In windows explorer, go to Tools...Folder Options... View and make sure you untick 'Hide extensions for known file types')
