So , After a 8 Months of Hard Work here is the MacG version 2.0 , you can just say that this is the Re-Make of MacG , i just added the new features as community on Forums and feedback i recieved via emails and i also add new features which make MacG evergreen . so following are the features:

Whats new in v2.0:

*You can now add this to Object Dock , Object Bar and other Applications (look for 'MacVol.exe' in Installation folder).

*Skinnable with 32-bit PNGs , Layerred Skin Support Alpha , Transparency , Drop Shadows.

*Notification with Current System Volume display Load/Un-Load CD/DVD Door notification

*Hotkey support to Increase and Decrease and Mute volume, as well as Load/Unload CD/DVD Doors

*Supports Multiple Drives to Eject and Load

*New UI , with new Positioning System

*You can now Select your Custom Mixer

*User's Skin based Icon

*and lots of Bugs Patched and decrese the Usage of Memory

Please Un-Install Old Mac Gadger Version before Installing New Updated Version.

Intro:

MAC Gadger is an application that emulates the look and feel of the Mac OS X volume bezel and CD/DVD Tray. It also provides a tray icon from which you can Change the Settings and When you Click on that it will show Volume Control that displays the current volume level and you can set the Volume from there in an OS X style controller.

This new Version contains lots of new Changes and Bugs Fixed and ofcourse i included lolts of new features just as you friends and community and forums feedback .

Instructions:

Run the Setup.exe and follow the Wizard,and then go to Settings> from System Tray Icon , Use the Settings > Configuration to set which hotkey you would like to use for which drive and Volume UP/DOWN.

Wow, thanks for this handy little app.

I really like it, it's very customizeable. Great job.

Note: The word 'Appearance' is misspelled 'Appearence' on the tab.

Also the volume bar seems to be upside down. Sliding it down is louder and up is quieter.

actualy its a MAC Volume , so it designed for TASKBAR is at TOP (UP) soo thtz why... may be try to swap this in next version :)

OK, that makes sense.

I run my taskbar on the top too, but the slider appears out of the screen (it is above the taskbar) when the taskbar is on the top.

Can you tell me ? how you changing the Icon , the way is put your icon in the Skin Folder's Skin named folder you applied to MacG , and Edit the Skin Ini file's Icon = youiconname.ico .

and yaa i also tried with this with White Icon , and it works :) or tell me how you changing the Icon.

Sorry for tht ... actualyy some problem is in Setup , soo it didnt create some Registry Entries. So , please Tick off the 'Auto Start when Windows Start." option and then Create a Shortcut to MacG in Startup folder. this will fix this...

and i will upload new Patch file in 2 days.. with some new Patches and others.. :D

sorry, but the problem is still here. :-(

i think, i found the bug and i will try to explane it (sorry, my english is bad)

After installing the programm, the path to the skin folder in the registry is (on my pc..its a german xp) c:/programme/MacGadger/default.ini

But after a restart it changes to c:/dokumente und einstellungen/"username"/ntuser.ini

Maybe that will help you to fix the problem.

After another new installation, the problem is fixed....but only to the next reboot.

So i will wait for the next release.... :-)

Hello there...

Just follow these steps and fix this problem. :

1. Uninstall Mac Gadger .

2. RE-Install it.

3. goto >> Settings... >> and un check the '[ ] Auto Load when Windows Start.' >> Press OK

4. Now click on Start Menu >> All Programs >> Right Click on 'Start up' and select Open .

5. Right click and Create new Shortcut to MacG , in Start up folder .

6. Now restart the PC , and the problem is fixed :D

Sorry for this Bug , actualyy i used this technique in my older software and there is no problem in that .. so i didnt check this , becouse mostly i hibernate my pc . I appologize for this :)

what happened to some of the old skins? i used to have an itunes one and it didn't come with the new version. when i uninstalled the old version the skin got deleted. can someone help me out and upload the skin? or can the creator put it in the next build. thanks!

for those of you with the "Unsupported file format" error, and who miss the old skins, notice that the old skins are bitmap, whil the new ones are PNG.

Please Download new Updated Version of Mac Gagder , because the Problem is in Setup Installer.. not in Application File.. so please Un-Install Mac Gadger before Installing New Mac Gadger Version. I, Applogize for that :)

about Custom Mizer , whats the problem.. ? you can execute any executable file when u double click on Mac G Icon , so be sure the file is .EXE .

yah , i'm working on this feauture .. so users can select which mixer volume they want to monitor or change. :)

ahh sorry for tht deletion , actualy new version contains new Skin Format .PNG so old skins wont work in new version ...and yaa a skin named MacOS in new version is also look like iTunes !:)
