Aqua-Soft ForumsOkay, i have the newest version of Avedesk installed, 2.0, and everything. I drag the desktopinstaller.aveinst file into the control panel, but then it says "You will need PIDLShortcut for this." So i get the PIDLShorcut DLL, add it to the modules, but then i get an error with something about a incorrect function or something. I have the option to retry, but when i do try to retry, Avedesk crashes. I don't know what's wrong.

Ok. This it has been mentioned before that the desktopinstaller is buggy. Also, since Ave changed to AveIcon's within Avedesk 2.0 I'm thinking this won't work for the time being.
Well how come it works for certain people but it doesn't work for me?
You can install the thing manually. The .aveinst file is just a zip package.
i tried changing it to .zip and then dropping the PidlShorcut.dll inside, but i still have no luck 
Ok. I think I was mixing it up with Automounter.
Place the dll in c:Program FilesAveDeskDeskletsPidlShortcut
Open AveDesk Control Panel
Select Extras, Modules, Modify Modules, Browse Using Install Button.
This should work.
