Hi there,
I want to turn my old laptop that runs XP into an OSX-looking machine. Given my not so great computer skills, I was looking for a one-stop solution like Flyakite.
However, I keep reading complaints (as well as good words) about Flyakite 3.5. This version came out around Feb 2006. Does anyone know whether a newer release is coming out any time soon ?
Also, are there any other one-stop solutions like Flyakite that you would recommend ?

I have not heard of a newer version. I am running 3.5 on an XP machine, and It is running perfectly. I have F.A.K. w/ RK Launcher, WindowBlinds, Mozilla/Thunderbird with OS X themes (safari and mail), and trillian pro with the iChat skin.
But, like I said, it is not giving me any problem.s
i jst instaled flyakite 3.5 a shot while back... and it works fine ... modded up with windows blinds Tiger 2 skin, findeXer, taskswitch XP, and it's working great... a breeze..
it's a pretty good installation kit ... !
There is going to be a V4 according to Chris, but no one knows much about it yet. Either wait for the fourth version, or "risk it" with 3.5. Flyakite works fine on my machine, but my machine isnt everyone's machine, so can't help ya. Most people have the same results: success. Some people have their computers kinda messed up...but whatever floats your boat.

Can i put FLYKIE 3.5 in Vista ??
FLYAKie v4 would for Vista? or XP OR BOTH ?

Indeed . I wouldn't recommending installing Flyakite on Vista, and I don't know if v4 will support Vista. flyakite can close this thread if he'd like--it's up to him.
